KINGSTON ELECTORS AND COGECO 13
TO PRODUCE SHOW ON MUNICIPAL TAXES
Kingston, Ontario (September 27, 2005) – Kingston Electors and Cogeco 13 will air series of live call-in talk shows starting Monday, October 3 from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Entitled “Kingston Matters: Where do you want your tax dollars spent?” this first show will focus on municipal budgets and the spending options available to municipal governments. Hosted by Gillian Sadinsky, the show will feature former Councillor John Clements and local municipal expert and author Richard Tindal.
Viewers will be encouraged to express their opinions by calling a special number which will be announced during the show. Afterwards, the public can post comments on the Kingston Electors web site ( http://www.kingstonelectors.ca (http://www.kingstonelectors.ca/)).
Kingston Electors is a grassroots civic group comprised of Kingstonians with an interest in public policy, and a commitment to encouraging in-depth discussions of issues that affect our community’s wellbeing.
Future Kingston Matters call in shows will focus on different topics of local interest.
