With the LVEC supporters talking up the merits of selling the Memoral Centre for financing, its surprising that they have not gone further south in the city for more lucrative public properties.
Certainly City Park would make a fabulous place for property development. Selling these lands would certainly provide the LVEC with a lot more money to build.
However, this parkland is south of Princess, well maintained, and on no city hall list for immediate property sale. It is yet another example of the growing divide in services and priorities in our city.
