This is the new web site for the community group "Kingstonians Concerned About the LVEC":

K-CAL!
We are an organization of Kingstonians Concerned About the LVEC. On the basis of the research we have done, we have become convinced that the planned location for the LVEC would not be in the best interests of Kingston as a whole.
To find out why, we urge you to read the text of the Mayor's Task Force Report on an LVEC, by clicking on the link below, and then click on the various headings you are most interested in.
Text of the Mayor's Task Force Report on an LVEC (this link will open in a new window: simply close the new window to return here.)
IMPORTANT NOTE
The contents of this website are based on information available at the time it was constructed. However, feasibility studies are under way, and depending on their outcomes, the concerns expressed on this website could be allayed, confirmed, or deepened. This could result in the modification or even elimination of some or all of the articles included here. Please check out this website a few days after learning of any significant developments respecting the proposed LVEC, such as reports to City Council, or breaking stories in the local media: alerts advising of any changes which have been made to the website will be provided on this homepage.
Links on the site:

Cromarty Report
Arena Capacity Report
The articles included on this website, except as indicated as documentation of arguments made, have been written by many members of KCAL, drawn from across the city of Kingston. To protect the authors from potential personal harassment, their identities have not been published. However, readers will shortly be able to post responses and comments regarding any matters raised on this website on a webmaster-supervised Bulletin Board. No rants or "flaming" will survive two hours on this Board: informed, reasoned, and respectful argument, on either side of the issues raised, will be welcomed.
