The Task Force discussed the time line that will be needed to meet the 100-day target for reporting to the Mayor by the end of March.
Objectives:
1) Decide on size and use of the facility
2) Public Consultation –
a) Information to be put on the City’s website including an Opinion Poll re size, location Thursday, 29 January to 11 February: www.cityofkingston.ca/lvec/
b) Thursday, 5 February, 8:00, phone-in show on COGECO 13.
c) Wednesday, 11 February 7:00 to 9:00, public meeting at the Memorial Hall, City Hall
d) Task Force meetings with existing M-C users
e) Task Force meetings with other cities regarding their entertainment centres. Tentative visits to Barrie, Mississauga, Guelph, London first week of February. Possible visits to Kingston by other city members.
