The following persons have been nominated for election as a Kingston City Councillor or as a School Board Trustee as of the close of nominations on September 10, 2010. Council Candidate Statistics
There are six candidates for Mayor and 35 candidates for the 12 council positions elected by District.
Total candidates gender distribution Male - 34; Female - 7
Three incumbents including the mayor have announced their retirement from city council.
School Board Candidate Statistics
There are ten candidates for Trustee for the five Kingston trustee positions elected by district for the public board, the Limestone District School Board
There are seven candidates for Trustee for the four Kingston trustee positions for the separate english board, the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board
There are two candidates for the regional French Public Board and one candidate (acclaimed) for the regional French Separate school board
