Hello MPNA friends,
First up, the Winter Fair will take place at the Mulberry School this Saturday (28/11) from 10 am - 3 pm. See poster attached. Highlights from Tove Steffensen:
"We welcome everyone to come to our fair which will have a puppet show, magical forest, children's crafts, and candle dipping. There will also be live music, delicious food, silent auction, and local vendors selling their handcraft (Jewellery, wooden toys, soap, home made cosmetics, candles, yarn, books, felted toys, children and adult clothes). A great place to do your Christmas shopping."
Second, we'll hold our MPNA annual general meeting some evening between of Dec 7 - Dec 10, probably at Artillery Park. Exact date, time, place and agenda TBD. Email if you have specific items you would like to suggest for the agenda.
Third, John Geddes is a local medical doctor who has been at the forefront of the CanAssist program, a Kingston-based charity that provides funds for primary schools, orphanages, water purification in East African communities. A summary of their successes in 2009 that you might find interesting and inspiring is available for review.
