In traditional New Orleans style, funeral director Scott Cameron leads the procession of Mr. Roger Brophy, as it leaves the James Reid Funeral Home in Kingston on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Brophy, a local real estate business professional, was also renowned as a talented musician himself, entertaining friends, family and volunteering his time and talent to many community organizations. Roger always had a joke and a smile for everyone and, as quoted by his daughter Jill; There are to be no tears at my funeral. Rogers wish was to have a Dixieland Band play at his funeral. One better, his wish was granted along with the traditional trappings of an old time New Orleans Jazz Funeral. You left as you lived Roger, offering a smile for everyone.
