Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) - Municipal Voter List Compilation
Ø Under Section 15 of the Assessment Act and Section 18 of the Municipal Elections Act, MPAC has the authority to collect information for the purposes of confirming and composing voter list information for the municipal elections.
Ø An individual's citizenship or religion is not required to confirm school tax support which is protected under the Ontario Human Rights Code. Under Section 112 of the Education Act, an individual who chooses to support a particular school system does not have to be practicing the associated religion of that organization if in fact the organization is religious based.
