Public Asked For Input On Lake Ontario Park's Future
Residents are invited to offer their input on how they would like to see Lake Ontario Park developed. A Your Opinion survey - now live at

- asks residents questions about how they would like to use the popular waterfront park, what improvements they would like to see made there, and what events they would most like to see the park host. Envisioning the park's future is also the purpose of the Jan. 21 public meeting set for 7 to 9 p.m. at the INVISTA Centre (1350 Gardiner's Rd.).
"We are excited about the potentials - about how we can use community input to shape Lake Ontario Park to bring more people to this beautiful park," says Kristine Hebert, Parks & Open Space Planning Coordinator.
Comments from the public will be accepted until Feb. 6.
This consultation represents the beginning of Phase II of the Lake Ontario Park Master Plan to revitalize the park. A draft of the Lake Ontario Master Plan will then be presented for public comment at a second session scheduled for March 25, 2009.
Phase 1 of the Master Planning process produced the Lake Ontario Park Revitalization Study and was completed in 2007. It included the establishment of the overall vision for the park and accompanying planning principles.
