The following motion will be considered by Kingston City Council at its meeting to be held on May 20, 2008.

Integrated Waste Management Study – Phase A Report

THAT the Integrated Waste Management Study – Phase A Report, as amended, be approved with the exception of
Section 3.2 Clause 5 as the basis for the City to undertake Phase B of the study to identify a preferred long-term
integrated waste management system approach;

- and further -

THAT garburators will not be considered as a material processing technology.

Pages 165-198)
Note: Staff is currently developing alternate wording reflective of the Committee’s discussion regarding
Section 3.2 Clause 5 of the Integrated Waste Management Study – Phase A Report.
