Kingston City Council will consider the following motion at its meeting to be held on March 17, 2008.

2008 DRAFT OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGETS RECOMMENDATIONS
The Report of the Commissioner of Finance and Corporate Performance (Report No. 07-355) was distributed with the Budget Binders, wherein the following is recommended:
A. GENERAL MUNICIPAL OPERATING BUDGET
i. THAT Council approve the general municipal operating budget in the amount of $259,400,000 and that a by-law be presented to adopt these estimates;
ii. THAT Council approve a budget as set out for agencies and boards and re-open the 2008 operating budget to deal with their final requests and that any excess amounts be funded by a further increase in municipal taxes.
