The following motion will be considered at the Kingston City Council meeting to be held on February 5, 2008:
Chown Parking Facility Potential Sale Negotiations with Hotel Dieu Hospital
THAT City Staff be directed to commence the public process to declare the Chown Parking Facility surplus to the City’s needs;
- and further -
THAT City Staff be directed to finalize a purchase/sale agreement and the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the
agreement to sell the Chown Memorial Parking Facility to the Hotel Dieu Hospital;
- and further -
THAT the City have a Right of First Refusal to purchase the Chown Parking Facility together with the adjoining building to be constructed by the Hotel Dieu Hospital should the Hospital decide at some point in the future to sell it;
- and further -
THAT the said agreement be satisfactory to the Director of Legal Services and conditional upon the Chown Parking Facility being declared surplus to the City’s needs.
