Perhaps because I live near the Housing Help Centre I notice the number of damaged people around us. Or perhaps it is not that reason. By damaged I mean physically damaged and emotionally damaged. I see more than my fair share of drunks, teen age mothers, and homeless - some of the latter seem to be addicts or some sort or other. Are we creating more damaged people than previously? Has Kingston more than other cities? What is worse, I see damaged people in the process of being created around me. Kids that have no guidance mainly. I think it takes more than a village.
