McBurney Park News:
SPIRAL SOUP COMMUNITY PLAYERS
NEEDS 20 PEOPLE FOR A NEW PLAY--SATURDAY JUNE 24TH
puppeteers musicians performers
no previous experience required
SPIRAL SOUP is a popular theatre company that promotes social and
environmental justice. Through the use of giant puppets, story banners, and
original music, we involve community volunteers as puppeteers, musicians and
performers to empower individuals and transform communities.
OUR PLAY "Just Food" explores some of the perils of depending on the global
system for our food and some of the benefits of eating locally.
Performance will take place outdoors at the Skeleton Park Music Festival
(McBurney Park, Kingston) on Saturday June 24, 2006, 6:00 p.m.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE is set for three evenings in June. Each rehearsal is at
25 Markland St. (top floor). We expect that players will attend each
rehearsal and the show!
Rehearsals 7:00-9:30 p.m.
Wednesday June 14th
Monday June 19th
Wednesday June 21st
The Show 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Saturday June 24th
BE PART OF THE SHOW! It's easy, loads of fun and you'll get to work and play
with some great people. Please contact one of the co-ordinators by Friday
June 9th to confirm your interest and/or to save you a space in the play.
