Fast tracking the 'democratic process' seems to be a common theme in stadium development.

Posting - no offence but I do not think a (1.8 billion dollar US) baseball stadium has anything to do with our 37 million dollar LVEC. Your stadium nightmare is a 100,000 seat stadium, one that is revitalizing a urban decayed US downtown area.
And with respect to your "skydome nightmare", I believe you should take a few minutes (first) and actually READ the LVEC business plan or at least visit a convention centre or Labatts Centre before coming up with such misleading and "suggestive" comparisons.
Fast tracking? The LVEC has gone through 2 years of formal and public informal processes. It has been in the paper every week, it has been debated through organisations for/against the project. And as most of us know - the "idea" to replace the Memorial Centre has been around for a long time. Especially after the $500,000 dollar Memorial Centre reshingling happened 3-4 years ago!
