There seems to be no end of downtown priority municipal projects these days: LVEC, Market Square, Grand Theatre...
But further away, where infrastructure improvements could make a real difference to our local economy, improvements continue to languish. The mid-town Princess Street corridor, between Division and the Kingston Centre, is a case in point. This area was earmarked for revitalization some years ago with ideas of encouraging higher density 'main street' development. But plans fell by the way side and the area continues to lack much in the way of fresh new development. Perhaps it is time for City Council revist some of its redevelopment priorities
